Sticky Fingers opened in 1999 and has played an important role in the community for the past decade.

The nursery is registered with North Yorkshire Council to take 33 children from 0 - 5 years old, the 0-2 years have their own dedicated "Little Roos" room for play activity, a sensory room to relax in and a separate sleep room. The premises are safe, secure, large and bright, providing parents with the confidence they expect from a professional day nursery.

The nursery is open 51 weeks per year (closed Christmas week), Monday - Friday from 08:00am to 06:00pm. The nursery is owned by Mrs Lynn Awad who employs 8 staff to care for the children.

The day nursery is located adjacent to Whitley and Eggborough Community Primary school and was originally the home of the school's Headmaster.

Our main aim is for the children placed in our care to begin their education happily, healthily and successfully by having lot's of fun starting their learning journey.

All our staff hold professional qualifications in the education of young children and are passionate in the care they provide.

We have built close links with the local school and make going to "Big School" an easy transistion for all our children.

Activity & Funding
The outside decked garden shown opposite provides a great activity area where children can exercise in a healthy and safe area.

Government funding provides education for all children for the term starting after their 3rd birthday. This currently equates to fifteen hours per week starting from September 2009.

Meals provided include Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, plus snacks and drinks in between to keep little bodies and brains fully fuelled for their busy day!
