Recycling
An
important part of any rural community is keeping the area
clean and tidy, but more importantly fulfilling its role in
priotecting the environment for future generations through
recycling as much as possible. Whitley Parish Council fully
supports being "Green and Environmentally Aware"
and is looking for new ways to recycle waste from within the
community, we may even become the UK's best recycling village!
To
help the community understand the importance of recycling
and the best way of going about it, the council has listed

Re-use
plastic
water bottles bought from the supermarket by cutting
them in 1/2 and using the top part as a funnel for topping
up oil or the radiator on your car. Use the bottom 1/2
as a mini greenhouse covering plants or protecting them
from slugs and bugs in the garden.
