Whitley Parish Plan...

The development of village plans was instigated by the Government and Countryside Agency, with support from the Yorkshire Rural Community Council. The objective of the plan is to give a voice to people living in rural villages and identify how they want to see their communities develop and deal with issues that matter to them.

Whitley's parish plan was published in January 2006 and has helped to both inform and influence local government decisions. A short report was produced a year after publication of the village plan to review the plan's objectives and can be accessed (together with the plan) using the links below:-
