Whitley
Parish Plans
In
2004 the Government and Countryside Agency required every
Parish Council in England to conduct a survey in their community.
The objective of the survey was to give a voice to the community
and people living within it, to identify how they see their
community develop (Transport, Leisure, Housing etc.) and deal
with the issues that they consider really important.
Whitley
Council held their survey in 2005 and published it's findings
during 2006 in what has become known as the Parish Plan. Since
it's publication the Parish Plan has been used on numerous
occasions to inform and influence local government decisions
and obtaining grants for local community groups.
In
2007 a short report was produced to review the plan's objectives
and can be accessed (together with the Parish Plan) using
the links below. Documents are in PDF format to enable anyone
with a computer to download, read or print them. If you have
any comments regarding the plan and/or report, send us your
thoughts using the form on our Contact Us page, we look forward
to hearing from you.
