Selby Globe Community Cinema
Bringing Cinema into Selby. This is a fantastic new idea from a non profit organisation run entirely by volunteers. Located in Selby Town Hall, the cinema has an annual membership of only £10 then any films at £1.75 each. If you don't wish to become a member then films are £3.00 on the door. Whitley Lock
Situated near the M62 road bridge over the canal, the lock has recently been through a major overhaul. Toilets and fresh water are available and a new picnic area with tables and a Bar-B-Q. Spend a warm summer evening with your picnic basket watching the narrow boats and small cruiser go through the locks.

Pontefract Racecourse is ideally situated just 1/2 a mile for Junction 32 of the M62. There are 16 fixtures each year including 3 Sunday meetings and 3 Evening meetings. Nothing beats the thirlll of watching a live horse race as the horses thunder past on their way to the winning post.
